We have been collaborating with Madam Stoltz for several years. They design and sell home decor.
Initially, we were brought in for additional assistance when they needed help with their B2B webshop, which is built on an Umbraco solution. At the time, the webshop was running very slowly, which was unsatisfactory for both customers when placing orders and for administrators when updating products in the webshop. With our expertise in Umbraco, the initial task was to address the performance issue and find a solution that could make the webshop run faster and more reliably.
Since then, we have expanded our collaboration with Madam Stoltz and are now continuously working on further developing their webshop solution with new features as well as streamlining their workflows.

Madam Stoltz is a Danish company specializing in design and products for home decor. The company was founded in 1995 on the island of Bornholm and is run by Pernille Stoltz and her husband Peter Bundgaard.
Their B2B webshop offers a wide selection of handcrafted products made by selected manufacturers in India, Morocco, China, and Vietnam.
The product range includes everything from textiles to furniture and lamps, from practical accessories to cozy need-to-haves, all sold through the webshop to customers worldwide.

The webshop solution for Madam Stoltz is the result of close collaboration and an ongoing process, where we continuously optimize the solution to ensure that the webshop remains up to date and continues to meet their needs.

A Technical Upgrade in 2023
Umbraco
The solution has received a technical boost and has been upgraded to a new version of Umbraco.
Product Management
As an extension of the solution, we have moved workflows out of the ERP system and integrated the management of product information into the webshop.
Prices and stock status are still pulled from the ERP system, while content such as descriptions and images are now managed directly within the webshop.

Improved Workflows
Managing images in various sizes, product structure, categorization, and product lists within the ERP system was cumbersome and time-consuming for Madam Stoltz.
By moving the product information into the webshop, Madam Stoltz now has a tool that simplifies their work and streamlines their processes.
Product Lists
With a visual interface, it has become easier to build product lists that provide the right look on the webshop's product pages.
Images in Multiple Sizes
Previously, an image had to be manually created and uploaded in several sizes and formats. Now, the system can automatically generate the required sizes based on one image. This has made image handling a significantly smaller task.

The Development of the Site Over Time – A Better Customer Experience
E-bit
The engine in the original webshop was replaced with an E-bit solution to ensure better performance.
E-bit is used to pull product data directly from the ERP system and display it on the webshop's frontend.
Design
The webshop design has been refreshed with minor adjustments to make it more contemporary and ensure an attractive presentation, whether the webshop is accessed via mobile or desktop.
iPaper View of Product Catalogs
A customer can add items from the catalog directly into the Madam Stoltz cart alongside other items from the webshop.
By customizing the iPaper view, the product catalogs have become a more integrated part of the site. This improves the customer experience and optimizes order handling for the staff, as orders from the catalog and the webshop are consolidated into one order.
